JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - A woman has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of her sister inside a Jacksonville home.

Local media outlets report the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said Monday that 41-year-old Mary Brantley is charged with murder in the death of 44-year-old Latonya Brantley.

Lt. Steve Gallaher says Latonya Brantley was found stabbed to death Friday morning at the residence after calling police minutes earlier to report that her sister was “breaking things inside the house.”

Gallaher says when deputies arrived, they were met at the door by Mary Brantley, who was covered in blood.

Gallaher says a kitchen knife was recovered at the scene.

Jail records show Mary Brantley is being held without bond at the Duval County Jail. It isn’t clear if she has an attorney.
