LEESVILLE, La. (AP) - A man remains in jail on $1 million bond after a fight led to his brother’s death in Leesville.

The Town Talk reports (https://townta.lk/1SsS1Ge) Christopher Dubois was arrested Saturday and charged with second-degree battery. That charge was upgraded to manslaughter after Terry Dubois died Sunday.

The Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office says in a statement that deputies found Terry Dubois lying on a floor and family members performing CPR after receiving a call about an unresponsive man at a home. He was taken to a hospital.

During the investigation, deputies learned that Terry Dubois had gotten into an argument with Christopher Dubois that led to a physical fight. Deputies say they believe that Terry Dubois fell and hit his head.

It isn’t immediately clear if Christopher Dubois has an attorney.
