FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Investigators say a Lakewood man shot and killed his 16-year-old daughter and then killed himself the following day north of Fort Collins.

Greg Fairman with the Larimer County coroner’s office says 52-year-old Robert Wolf shot Denver Wolf, of Colorado Springs, three times in the chest sometime Sunday after driving her from Colorado Springs to Park County. He then drove his daughter’s body to an area north of Fort Collins and shot himself once in the chest with a .22-caliber rifle early Monday morning.

Fairman tells the Fort Collins Coloradoan (https://goo.gl/4yCAUO ) the father kept “seven, eight, nine pages” of obsessive notes documenting the shooting.

Larimer County sheriff’s deputies found the bodies in a vehicle during a welfare check.

No other information was released.
