DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) - No charges will be filed against a driver who struck and killed a 3-year-old in a Davenport Catholic school parking lot.

The Quad-City Times (https://bit.ly/1ROmd1y ) reports a police investigation into the death of Braddock Shovlain was ruled an accident. The boy was struck in the All Saints Catholic School parking lot in February.

He was taken to a Davenport hospital, where he died.

Davenport police have not released the name of the driver but say there was no recklessness or negligence on the driver’s behalf.

Police say Braddock approached the vehicle from an angle that prevented the driver from seeing him and walked in front of the car as it started moving forward.
