FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Trial has been delayed for a man facing a murder charge in a fatal beating outside of a Fargo bar last year.

Thirty-five-year-old Jason Oien was to stand trial beginning Wednesday in the May 2015 death of 35-year-old Joey Gaarsland. The trial has been delayed due to new evidence and witnesses in the case. A new trial date wasn’t immediately set.

Oien also faces criminal conspiracy charges. He could face life in prison without parole if convicted on the murder charge. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Three other people charged in the case have pleaded guilty. They might testify against Oien.
