FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - Some parts of northern Arizona have wintry weather that is creating hazardous driving conditions.

The state Department of Transportation reports ice on Interstate 40 west of Flagstaff and slush on U.S. 89 at the summit north of the city.

There’s also snow on I-17 south of Flagstaff and on U.S. 160 near Kayenta.

The National Weather Service has issued an advisory for strong gusty winds for much of northern Arizona into Tuesday evening.

Forecasters say the strong winds can make driving difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles. Also, blowing dust can reduce visibility.
