NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Cleveland County authorities say two people have been arrested in connection with a home invasion in which a would-be burglar was shot and killed.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Meghan Jackson says an 18-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night in Shawnee and a 17-year-old was also arrested Wednesday night in Tecumseh.

Both are being held on complaints of first-degree murder, first-degree burglary and other charges connected to the Feb. 13 attempted burglary and subsequent shooting death of 18-year-old Derek Seth Stewart of McAlester.

The sheriff’s office has said Stewart was shot as he and several others forced their way into a home just east of Norman. Jackson says the investigation into the shooting continues and more arrests are possible.
