NEW YORK (AP) - Police say a 28-year-old man was stabbed with a screwdriver during an argument with his domestic partner near Lincoln Center.

The NYPD says it happened shortly before 6 a.m. Thursday on Amsterdam Avenue, about two blocks from the performing arts center.

They say the victim suffered two puncture wounds to the head and was listed in stable condition at a hospital.

The 29-year-old suspect was taken into custody. Charges were pending.

Police say the screwdriver was recovered.
