HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Police are investigating after a body was found behind a Hartford apartment building.

The body was found near the Park River behind the Woodland Street building on Wednesday. The identity of the body hasn’t been released.

Police say the death is being treated as a homicide, but investigators are waiting for the medical examiner to rule on the cause of death.

Police say a man was arrested at the apartment building Tuesday in an unrelated drug case and is also a suspect in the case of a woman who recently went missing in New Britain.

Dep. Chief Brian Foley tells WVIT-TV police think the body belongs to the missing woman.
