COPPELL, Texas (AP) - Retail gasoline prices across Texas have jumped an average 8 cents this week.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported the average price at the pump rose to $1.60 per gallon. Nationwide gasoline prices are up 9 cents this week to reach an average $1.80 per gallon.

The association survey found Dallas has the most expensive gasoline this week in Texas at $1.68 per gallon. Drivers in Corpus Christi and San Antonio have the cheapest gasoline at an average $1.52 per gallon.

Association officials say gasoline prices are moving higher in many parts of the country as refinery maintenance season gets underway. Some refineries also cut production in response to plentiful supplies.
