BILOXI, Miss. (AP) - The arson trial of a woman accused of setting fire to a D’Iberville apartment complex is set to start March 15.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1nj3qx3) Circuit Judge Chris Schmidt is scheduled to hear pretrial motions Tuesday in the case against 27-year-old Krystal Gonzalez. The case will be tried at the Harrison County Courthouse in Biloxi.

Gonzalez is charged with first-degree arson for a fire that destroyed 20 units at Arbor View Apartments, displacing 40 residents on Mardi Gras night in 2014.

Gonzalez claims the fire happened after she left a candle burning.

D’Iberville police investigators claim Gonzalez intentionally set the fire to burn her ex-boyfriend’s belongings.

Gonzalez is free on a $200,000 bond.
