VALHALLA, N.Y. (AP) - The Westchester Medical Center is planning to build a $230 million Ambulatory Care Pavilion on its Valhalla campus.

The Journal News reports (https://lohud.us/1nhTJz0 ) the plans for the 280,000-square-foot facility were unveiled on Wednesday before the Westchester County Local Development Corporation. The agency approved nearly $300 million in tax-exempt financing for the project.

Officials say the pavilion would have 185,000-square-feet of ambulatory care space. It would include a surgery center, advanced imaging center and a heart and vascular institute. It also would have a 20,000-square-foot private room expansion of the medical center and 75,000-square-feet for doctors’ offices.

Officials plan to break ground on the eight-story facility adjacent to the medical center this spring. It’s slated to open in 2018.
