LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles police and the FBI are searching for an armed suspect who held up an armored truck outside a supermarket in the San Fernando Valley.

Police say nobody was hurt in the heist in broad daylight Tuesday in front of the Ralphs store in Granada Hills.

Officer Tony Im says the suspect disarmed the truck guard before running off with an undisclosed amount of money.

KNBC-TV reports the vehicle involved was a Brinks truck that had just pulled up in front of the store.
