BELMONT, Miss. (AP) - Comfort Revolution, a maker of foam mattresses, pillows and mattress pads, will expand its Belmont factory, hiring 50 new workers.
New Jersey-based Comfort Revolution opened the plant in 2012 and has 200 workers now. The company announced Tuesday it will invest $1.5 million, with CEO Michael Fux saying the company is launching new products including pillows and mattress pads designed to stay cool.
Mississippi Development Authority spokeswoman Tammy Craft says MDA is giving Comfort Revolution $1 million in federal community development money for a new roof, while Tishomingo County is giving $600,000. Tishomingo County will also grant a 10-year reduction in property taxes, although Craft couldn’t immediately say what that’s projected to be worth.
Craft describes worker pay as “competitive.”
The company sells products itself and supplies companies including Sealy.
