WASHINGTON (AP) - Authorities say a man wanted in connection with a killing has been arrested after leading police on a chase through the city.

The U.S. Park Police and the Metropolitan Police Department say the pursuit began Friday when a park police officer spotted an erratic driver, whose identity hasn’t been released.

WRC-TV reports (bit.ly/1QV9nb6) that after running the car’s license plate number, the officer found that it was wanted in connection with the Feb. 22 slaying of 21-year-old Deandre Sibblies.

Authorities say the officer tried to stop the driver, who took off, beginning the chase.

The pursuit continued throughout the city before ending in a crash. No serious injuries were reported.

The suspect led officers on a brief foot pursuit after the crash. He was then taken into custody.
