NORTH BERGEN, N.J. (AP) - Two teenagers walking home from a party were killed when a car went over a curb and struck them in northern New Jersey.

Another teen was critically injured in the accident, which occurred around 9:15 p.m. Saturday in the area of 26th Street and Kennedy Boulevard in North Bergen.

The names of the victims have not been released. Authorities say the two teens killed were ages 16 and 17, while the injured youth was also 17.

Hudson County officials say one person has been charged in the accident. But that person’s name and further details on the charges they are facing were not released.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
