PERTH AMBOY, N.J. (AP) - A fast-moving fire damaged several units at a central New Jersey apartment building.

No injuries were reported in the fire that was reported shortly before 10 a.m. Saturday. But nine people who lived in the building were displaced by the blaze, which burned through the roof.

The fire left four of the 23 apartments in the Chamberlain Avenue building uninhabitable. The residents who lived in those units were getting assistance from the American Red Cross.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
