BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) - A hiker suffered a head injury after falling from a cliff into the water at Larrabee State Park, just south of Bellingham.

A Coast Guard rescue boat crew reached the 30-year-old man at about 7 p.m. Saturday and took him to EMS.

The man had fallen down a 40-foot cliff into the water south of Chuckanut Bay. The Coast Guard crew located the man near the shoreline and they maneuvered the boat close enough for him to climb onboard.

The man was not immediately identified.
