FARGO, N.D. (AP) - A North Dakota man has been sentenced to nearly five years in prison on a federal sexual abuse charge.

Troy Woods Jr. pleaded guilty in November for the January 2014 incident on the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation. Authoriities say Woods with a victim who was “incapable of appraising the nature of the conduct.”

A defense attorney says Woods does not admit that it was a forcible sex act.

U.S. District Judge Ralph Erickson sentenced Woods to 70 months in prison and five years of supervised release.
