GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - A Greenville man has died and police have arrested two suspects after a home invasion.

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office tells local media that 46-year-old Jeryl Lamar White was shot during the Sunday home invasion, and died at the hospital hours later.

Greenville County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 25-year-old Tristan Cummings and 25-year-old Simeon Williams on several charges, including murder and attempted armed robbery.

Arrest warrants say the suspects shot White after he had barricaded himself in the bathroom.

Sgt. Jennings Autrey says deputies responded to a burglary in progress early Sunday morning at White’s North Greenville home. Deputies ordered the suspects to drop their weapons and get on the ground. Autrey says Williams complied, but Cummings ran away. Cummings was apprehended not far from the home.

It wasn’t immediately clear if Cummings and Williams have attorneys.
