LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming senior guard Josh Adams has been voted the Mountain West Player of the Year by members of the media.

Adams earned seven of 11 votes for the award.

Adams leads the conference this season in scoring at 24.9 points per game. He has scored 30 or more in nine games and 20 or more in 21 contests. His 722 points this season broke Wyoming’s single-season record of 701 by Flynn Robinson in 1964-65.

He also paces the Pokes in rebounds at 5.6 per game and assists at 4.2.

Wyoming junior guard Jason McManamen claimed honorable mention in the media voting.

The all-conference awards as voted by the Mountain West head coaches will be announced Tuesday.
