TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Fifteen people stand accused of roles in drug rings following a state investigation in New Jersey.

The charges were included in two indictments made public Monday by the state attorney general’s office. They also say $1.2 million was seized from the car trunk of one suspect - one of the largest cash seizures in state history.

Twelve men face charges stemming from a ring that allegedly sold cocaine and designer drugs online. The other three allegedly sold cocaine in Atlantic City.

Investigators also say the man accused of leading the larger ring plotted with three others to kill a former associate and his bodyguard in a dispute over drugs and money.

While some steps were made in the murder plot, the killings were not carried out.
