UNION CITY, Ga. (AP) - Jurors in Fulton County convicted a man of murder in a slaying that prosecutors say occurred because another man looked at him.

Prosecutors say Alan Dennis was convicted in the gunshot killing of Michael Henderson, who was fatally wounded at a gas station in Union City.

A statement released by District Attorney Paul Howard on Monday says Henderson was pumping gas in June 2013 when Dennis approached to ask why Henderson was looking at him.

Dennis asked again why Henderson was looking at him before he pulled out a gun a shot Henderson in the chest.

Henderson died later at a hospital, and Union City police arrested Dennis within minutes.

A judge sentenced Dennis to 26 years in prison. Another man was previously convicted of aggravated assault and other charges.
