LANSING, Mich. (AP) - The city of Lansing has parted ways with its top attorney, who is receiving $160,000.

The Lansing State Journal and WILX-TV report that Janene McIntyre isn’t leaving city hall empty-handed. The money includes $33,000 for vacation hours, sick time and personal hours.

McIntyre resigned last week. Her lawyer declined to comment Monday. Lansing council member Jessica Yorko says the deal may be “prudent” but she doesn’t have any details.

Another council member, Patricia Spitzley, says there’s a “lack of transparency.”

Mayor Virg Bernero’s office says council members will get details about the severance.
