LONOKE, Ark. (AP) - The Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office says a 6-year-old boy who was pulled from a water-filled hole has died.

The sheriff’s office told reporters Monday that the boy died at a Little Rock hospital where he was taken after being pulled from the hole last Wednesday.

The boy was found near the unincorporated community of Furlow, northwest of Lonoke.

The child’s name was not released.
