WASHINGTON (AP) - Police are identifying a man who died in a shooting in southeast Washington and say they have charged another man in his death.

The Metropolitan Police Department said in a statement Monday that they have arrested 26-year-old Tavon Moore of Washington and charged him with second-degree murder while armed and assault with intent to kill while armed. Police identified the man who died in Friday’s shooting as 26-year-old Noel Rezene of northwest Washington.

Police say Rezene and a woman were found shot multiple times in a car parked at the United Medical Center in southeast Washington. Police say they subsequently linked the victims to a report of a shooting in the 3300 block of 23rd Street southeast.

It was not clear if Moore had an attorney.
