PHOENIX (AP) - A woman is facing six counts of child abuse of six children were found in her roach-infested apartment in central Phoenix last week.

Phoenix police say 27-year-old Alejandrina Angel Flores didn’t have an attorney at her initial court appearance Monday.

Court documents show Phoenix police arrived at the apartment around 9 p.m. Friday.

Police say the six children inside are ages 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 with the other just a few months old.

They say the children were sharing the two-bedroom apartment with roaches in every room and each child was covered in dirt and wore dirty clothes.

Police say the Arizona Department of Child Services have taken custody of the children.
