RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Police are investigating after a teenager was found tied up following a home invasion in northeast Raleigh.

Media outlets report that police responded to a residence Sunday afternoon after a mother came home to find her 17-year old daughter bound with duct tape in a closet.

The mother, who didn’t want to be identified, says she received a text message from her daughter that said, “I’m tied up in the closet. Help.”

Police say two white men in their early to mid-20s forced their way into the home through a back door. One man was tall with long, curly hair, and was wearing a shirt with a Dr. Pepper logo on it. The other suspect is described as being short.

It isn’t clear if anything was stolen from the home.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Raleigh police.
