RINDGE, N.H. (AP) - Authorities in New Hampshire say a young man’s body was found partially underwater in a stream.

A passerby saw the man in the stream around 11:30 a.m. Sunday in Rindge. Police closed off the area near the intersection of Bradford and Goodall streets while they investigated.

Police say the death appears to be accidental. The man had a visible head injury that appeared to be consistent with a fall.

A preliminary investigation revealed the man was last seen at a social gathering in a nearby residence on Saturday night. Police say there was nothing obvious that suggested foul play.

The man’s identity is being withheld pending family notification. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
