SUPERIOR, Ariz. (AP) - Pinal County authorities say they’ve arrested a shooting suspect after serving a search warrant on a residential compound near Superior.

County Sheriff’s officials say 49-year-old Joe Bribiescas has been booked into jail on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, misconduct involving weapons by a prohibited possessor and a Maricopa County felony warrant.

Bribiescas is accused of shooting a 35-year-old man who was visiting a friend at a property on Hewitt Station Road on Feb. 28.

Sheriff’s officials say the victim was shot once in the abdomen and survived.

Sheriff’s detectives and regional SWAT task force operators served a search warrant Friday to try and locate the accused shooter and the weapon.

Authorities say four other adults also were arrested including Bribiescas’ brother, who was wanted on felony warrants.
