RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - The communications director for House Speaker Tim Moore’s office is leaving her job to join North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory’s environmental agency.

Mollie Young announced Monday her move over the coming week to the Department of Environmental Quality, where she will serve as director of legislative affairs.

Young joined Moore’s staff early last year as the Kings Mountain Republican was elected to the chamber’s top job. Young previously worked for the National Republican Congressional Committee and for an Ohio congressman, as well as at Fox News Channel.
