COOL, Texas (AP) - A severe thunderstorm, possibly a tornado, damaged at least seven homes scattered over a rural area of North Texas.

The storm roared through the area between Weatherford and Mineral Wells about 6:15 p.m. Monday at a time when National Weather Service reported its radar showed a possible tornado in the vicinity.

Parker County spokesman Joel Kertok tells the Weatherford Democrat (https://bit.ly/1R1YnZz) that buildings were damaged on both sides of U.S 180 about a half-mile east of Cool, about 40 miles west of Fort Worth. Some vehicles were damaged by flying debris.

Kertok says no injuries were reported.
