CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - After some unseasonably warm weather in recent days, snow has returned to Wyoming, interrupting travel in some areas.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation says heavy snow forced the closure of a 50-mile section of Interstate 80 between Laramie and Cheyenne on Monday afternoon.

The National Weather Service has posted a winter weather advisory for central Wyoming, including Riverton, Lander and Casper. Some mountain areas could receive 10 inches or more.

Riverton received about 4 inches Monday morning.

However, the Weather Service says the snow will be gone from most of the state on Tuesday.
