LAS VEGAS (AP) - A judge has denied bail for a man jailed on murder charges in a shooting that killed two California women and critically wounded a man near the Las Vegas Strip.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports (https://bit.ly/21ULgEU ) that Omar Jamal Talley’s lawyer had asked for $50,000 bail. But a judge ordered the 30-year-old suspect Monday to remain held without bail.

Police say Talley had been arguing with Jerraud Jackson in the Miracle Mile Shops parking garage at Planet Hollywood on Feb. 19.

Authorities say Jennifer Chicas and Melissa Mendoza, both 27, were killed after their vehicle left the parking structure.

Twenty-nine-year-old Jackson, who was a passenger in the vehicle, underwent surgery for his wound.

Talley has denied shooting anyone and said the weapon he had was “just a BB gun.”
