LINCOLNVILLE, Maine (AP) - Maine Game Wardens say they have recovered the body of a man who fell through ice on Megunticook Lake in Lincolnville.

WCSH-TV (https://on.wcsh6.com/21WuqWk ) reports wardens got a call around 7:45 p.m. on Monday that someone had fallen through the ice. A dive team found the man on Tuesday morning.

Police are not yet releasing the name of the man. Friends tell authorities they tried to call him off of the ice, but he stayed on it despite the obvious danger.

Wardens say the man’s body was found in water that was about 20 feet deep.
