MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Minot’s airport director has resigned, saying he needs a break and plans to pursue other career opportunities.

Andrew Solsvig has managed the Minot airport for nearly seven years. He says he plans to take some time to regroup, then pursue a new job in the aviation industry.

City Manager Lee Staab says a national search for Solsvig’s replacement will begin Monday and is expected to take up to four months. Ann Thorvick, a consultant who helped with the airport’s new $48 million terminal, has been named interim director.
