BRUNSWICK, Ohio (AP) - A fire at a northeastern Ohio apartment complex has killed a 4-year-old girl, injured six others and displaced dozens of residents.

Authorities say the fire broke out around 10:30 p.m. Monday in Brunswick about 30 miles southwest of Cleveland.

Nick Solar, a spokesman for the city of Brunswick, said 24 apartments were affected. Local churches were helping more than 50 people displaced by the blaze.

The girl who died lived with her family in a basement unit. Investigators haven’t determined a cause or where the fire started.

Firefighters from Brunswick, Medina and Strongsville fought the blaze.
