SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say they’re investigating the wounding of a 15-year-old boy who was shot twice in the leg in Syracuse.

Sgt. Richard Helterline of the Syracuse Police Department says the teen was taken to Upstate University Hospital on Monday with injuries that aren’t life-threatening.

Helterline says there was possibly a large fight in the area of South Salina Street prior to the 3 p.m. shooting.

Police say a man suspected of shooting the teen was spotted leaving the scene of the shooting on foot.

No arrests have been reported.
