WILLCOX, Ariz. (AP) - Road work at Chiricahau (CHEER’-uh-cow-uh) National Monument is taking long than expected and will be extended through March 26.

Park officials say the park road beyond the southeastern Arizona monument’s campground will remain closed but that the visitor center, campground, trails and lower canyon remain open.

However, park officials say there also will be road work between park entrance and the visitor center, so visitors should expect delays because only one lane will be open to the visitor center.
