GIBSONIA, Pa. (AP) - Police were trying to determine how a woman was struck by two vehicles and killed on a busy highway north of Pittsburgh.

Northern Regional Police were continuing to investigate the death of 32-year-old April Powell.

The Gibsonia woman was hit by a sport-utility vehicle then hit by a car shortly before 8 p.m. Monday. That happened on Route 8 in Richland Township, a few miles north of the city.

Police say the drivers of both vehicles stopped and cooperated.

It was not immediately clear whether either driver will be cited or charged.

An autopsy was scheduled Tuesday.
