ALPENA, Mich. (AP) - It’s not your typical car cruise.

The Alpena News reports (https://bit.ly/27LBd5M ) Saturday that about two dozen owners are planning to display their hearses when the Northern Michigan Hearse Cruise makes a stop in the city.

Event organizer Jeff Morey says “there will be vintage cars and the newer ones which have all of the bells and whistles.”

He adds that others “are decked out, like one which has Lamborghini doors on it.”

The cruise comes to Alpena next weekend and is entering its third year. It begins in Gaylord, and brief stops will be made in two other towns before rolling into Alpena in northeastern Michigan.

Morey says the group likes to stop in different places “because it is better than sitting in the same town all day long.”
