EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Police are searching for a Hartford man in connection with a fatal shooting.

Police obtained a warrant Saturday for Michael Gaston, who’s charged with murder in the slaying of 35-year-old Marshall Wiggins.

Police were called to Rector Street on Monday evening for a report of shots fired. Responding officers found Wiggins sitting in a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.

Wiggins was taken to Hartford Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Police say the 27-year-old Gaston should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about Gaston’s whereabouts is asked to contact the East Hartford police.
