STAFFORD, Virginia (AP) - The Stafford Sheriff’s Office says a Richmond man is charged with fatally shooting a Chester man during a domestic dispute.

Spokesman Morris Moncure said in a statement Saturday that 27-year-old Corey Terry is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting Friday evening of 20-year-old Austen Agnor at an Exxon gas station on Courthouse Road.

Terry is being held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail. It isn’t clear if he has an attorney.

Moncure says the shooting occurred during a court-ordered custody exchange at the gas station around 7:15 p.m. He says a domestic dispute developed during the exchange, and Terry fired multiple shots.

Moncure says Terry fled but was apprehended by a Virginia state trooper around 9 p.m. near the intersection of American Legion Road and Jefferson Davis Highway.
