SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Police say a man pulled from a burning house in Salt Lake City is possibly the victim of homicide and arson.

Salt Lake City firefighters say the blaze was reported around 1:20 a.m. Sunday.

According to fire officials, crews found the home already heavily engulfed in flames upon their arrival.

Firefighters searched the building and found 72-year-old John Williams.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The State Medical Examiner has custody of the body and will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Police say a suspect is in custody but did not identify that person.

No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
