SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Police say they are investigating after a 15-year-old boy was shot in Syracuse.

It happened around 7 p.m. Sunday.

Syracuse Police say officers responding to a series of 911 calls found the boy on Gifford Street.

Investigators say the teen, whose name wasn’t immediately released, was shot in the lower back. They say he was seriously injured, but is expected to survive.

Police are searching for two male suspects who they believe fled the scene on bicycles. No arrests have been made.
