HUNTINGTON STATION, N.Y. (AP) - Police say they’re investigating whether a man who died after being discovered lying in a Long Island roadway was the victim of a crime.

Suffolk County police say 33-year-old William Sarcenolima was found around 4 a.m. Sunday in Huntington Station.

They say Sarcenolima was found lying partially in the roadway on West Hills Road. Emergency crews brought him to a local hospital, where he died.

Investigators say they are looking into whether Sarcenolima was a “victim of violence.” A medical examiner will determine his cause of death.
