SANFORD, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say someone broke into an unmarked Sanford police vehicle and stole a handgun, shotgun and bulletproof vest.

The Sanford Police investigator was watching a softball game Saturday afternoon when someone broke through the back window of his vehicle. The vehicle had only been there for less than an hour.

The Orlando Sentinel (https://tinyurl.com/zoja6uo ) reports the investigator’s department-issued Sig Sauer 9mm handgun, vest, badge, at least one handcuff key and a radio were taken along with the officer’s personal Remington 12-gauge shotgun.
