UNION TOWNSHIP, Wis. (AP) - Authorities have identified the two people who died in a fiery crash in Rock County.

The Rock County Medical Examiner names them as 27-year-old Cory Schuppe, of Madison, and 26-year-old Jovanni DiMaggio, of Oregon, Wisconsin.

Shneriff’s deputies say the Madison man lost control of the car on a curve on Highway 14 Sunday afternoon, and it crossed the center line, crashing head-on with an oncoming SUV in Union Township. The car started on fire. The two men died at the scene.

The driver of the SUV, a 36-year-old Janesville woman, was taken to Mercy Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
