HENRICO, Va. (AP) - Authorities say two people accused of shoplifting have been arrested after leading police on a chase that ended in a crash that injured several others.

Local media outlets report 32-year-old Jeremy Dodge and 26-year-old Victikia Coker both face several charges including grand larceny and child neglect in connection with Sunday’s incident.

Henrico police Lt. C.J. Maurice says officers responded to a report of a man and woman suspected of shoplifting at a Target store. As officers arrived, the couple fled in a car and police followed.

The chase ended when the suspects’ vehicle crashed into four other vehicles, injuring five other people.

The suspects also sustained minor injuries. Police say an infant who was in the suspects’ vehicle wasn’t hurt.

It isn’t clear whether Dodge and Coker have attorneys.
