OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says its agents are investigating the deaths of two Oklahoma County jail inmates during the weekend.

The OSBI said Monday that 30-year-old Joseph Carter Wilson was found hanging in his cell Friday night and 28-year-old Cody Joe McDonald was found hanging in his cell on Sunday.

The agency says both inmates were the only occupants of their cells. Their bodies were sent to the state medical examiner’s office for rulings on the cause and manner of deaths.

Wilson had jailed since last October on charges that include assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, indecent exposure, assault and battery on police officers and planning to perform an act of violence.

McDonald had been jailed since May 11 on charges including drug and weapons counts.
